COLD SORES /
FEVER BLISTERS

Cold sores, also called fever blisters, are a common viral infection (HSV-1). Sores are tiny, fluid-filled blisters on & around the lips. The exterior mouth blisters are often grouped together in patches. After the blisters break, a crust forms over the sore site. Cold sores usually heal in 1-4 weeks.

Causes may include:Stress, hormonal changes, fatigue, exposure to sunlight & wind, viral infection/fever or changes in the immune system
